God always bless us with His love and with the meaning He brings to our life

Some people say that if we truly pray, God would always bless us with good things - career success, financial gains or other signs of prosperity.

But that's not always the case. Some people God used, were not bless with material prosperity. God used Paul to write half of the New Testament and he was not materially blessed.  He was beaten, stoned, shipwrecked, attacked by robbers.  And he ended up penniless and with his head cut off.

The Bible is replete with those God used to do His will, but paid a great price. Ten of the twelve disciples died martyrs. John, the Baptist was beheaded. Isaiah was sawed into two.

God does not promise that all His followers will be protected from hardship and sufferings. Christians get cancer, loose loved ones,  and suffer financial set backs, just like everyone else.

God uses tragedies, to show the skeptical world a different way to live.

Does God bless us if we commit to follow Him? Of course He does! But not always with material prosperity. These things are not guaranteed.

God always bless us with His love and with the meaning He brings to our life - whether in hardship or in prosperity.

God tells us to rejoice to the extent that we share in the suffering of Christ, so that when His glory is revealed, we may also rejoice exultantly. (See 1 Peter 4: 12-14).
