The kingdom of God, captured in the Beatitudes, which Christ speaks is one in which the poor, the sick, the grieving, cripples, slaves, women, children,widows, orphans, lepers, aliens - the least of these - are to be lifted up and to be embraced by God. (see Matt. 5:3 -10; 5:40).

When Christ comes back, He is to complete what His followers have begun. The perfect kingdom of God is to begin on earth.
